Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is pleased to announce the completion yesterday of road work on Macarthur Boulevard from Chain Bridge Road to Arizona Avenue, NW. Final paving was completed April 30, 2007.

Work included new curbs, gutters, sidewalks, handicap access ramps to sidewalks and resurfacing of the street.

Work is continuing on nearby Sherier Place from Cathedral Avenue to Chain Bridge Road, NW, which began construction on April 9. Work includes sidewalk, curbs, stormwater system upgrades and paving of the street. Work is expected to wrap up by the end of June.

The work is part of phased rehabilitation of the entire Sherier Place and Potomac Avenue to be continued over next nine months.

DDOT appreciates the patience of residents and motorists during construction.
