16th Street, NW, Travel Restrictions Continue

Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) Motorists who use 16th Street, NW, during morning rush hour should be advised of continuing delays on 16th Street from Harvard Street to Florida Avenue due to a water main break in 2400 block of 16th Street, NW.

Currently, travel on that section of 16th Street is restricted to one lane of southbound (inbound) traffic. Message board signs have been erected to advise motorists of the closure and to encourage the use of alternate routes.

DDOT, MPD, and WASA are on the scene in addition to other agencies. Motorists are encouraged to listen to radio traffic media for frequent updates.

For more information, please see District closures, street closures and traffic alerts.
