(Washington, DC) Motorists should be advised the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) today began performing resurfacing and construction on Park Road, NW, until mid-July.
Work is taking place on Park Road, NW, from the bridge over Piney Branch Road to Beach Drive, NW. Construction is expected to be completed by July 14, 2007, weather permitting.
The roadway will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project. Work hours are from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday. Message board signs have been placed to alert motorists of detours.
Traffic moving west on Park Road will be detoured into Klingle Road/Porter Street. Traffic coming south on Beach Drive will be detoured to Porter Street.
The much-needed work involves milling and resurfacing of existing roadway and repairing and replacing curbs and gutters.
Access to the adjacent houses will be maintained. However, curbside parking will not be permitted on location during construction hours.
