Lawyers Have Heart Race Closures

  • K Street, NW – Between Wisconsin Avenue and Whitehurst Freeway / 30th Street, NW – 6 am to 10:30 am
  • White Hurst Freeway Closed – 7:30 am to 9:15 am
  • Canal Road NW – Between Foxhall Road just before Reservoir – 6:30 am to 9:15 am

Capitol Pride Parade

Parade Initial Staging / Closures

Staging will begin at 4 pm until 6:30 pm (step off)

  1. Begin at 24th and N  Street, NW east to 23rd Street, NW
  2. North on 23rd Street, NW to P Street, NW

All Intersections will be closed to thru traffic.

Parade Expanded Staging / Closures

Staging Expansion to begin at 5:30 pm

  1. 24th closed to thru traffic from M to N Streets NW
  2. 23rd closed to thru traffic from M to N Streets NW
  3. N  closed to thru traffic at 22nd Street NW
  4. O closed to thru traffic at 22nd Street NW

Parade Route

Parade Route closure at 6:30 pm

  1. Parade enters P Street and travels east to Dupont Circle
  2. Clockwise around Dupont Circle to north on New Hampshire Avenue, NW
  3. North on New Hampshire Avenue, NW to east on R Street, NW
  4. East on R Street to south on 17th Street, NW
  5. South on 17th Street to east on P Street, NW
  6. East on P Street to south on 14th Street, NW
  7. South on 14th Street – parade breaks into two lanes at 14th and N Street, NW for dispersal above Thomas Circle

All streets will be opened as the tail of the parade moves to the end of the route.

Capitol Pride Street Festival

Street closures for this event will start at 9 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2007 and last until approximately 10 pm on Sunday, June 10, 2007

  1. Pennsylvania Avenue, between 7th and 3rd Streets, NW
  2. 6th Street, between Constitution Avenue and C Street, NW. Access to parking garage allowed, but no vehicles will be allowed to cross Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
  3. Constitution Avenue, between Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street, NW.  Single lane access to Smithsonian / National Gallery employees
  4. 4th Street, NW between Madison Dr. and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

US Campaign to End Israeli Occupation March

Rally on the West Front of the United States Capitol from 1 pm to 4 pm

  1. At 4 pm the march will step off and go Southwest on Maryland Avenue to Independence Avenue, SW.
  2. West on Independence Avenue, SW to 15th Street, SW.
  3. North on 15th Street to northeast corner of Constitution Avenue where they will disband on the Ellipse.

All streets will be opened as the tail moves to the end of the route.
