(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) is pleased to announce it will begin construction work on two projects on June 25.
Construction will begin on Georgia Avenue NW, from Florida Avenue to Gresham Street on or about June 25, weather permitting. Construction is expected to be completed by August 15, 2007.
Work consists of repairing and replacing sidewalks, alley and driveway entrances, repairing existing curbs and gutters and repairing and replacing wheelchair ramps where necessary.
Additionally, DDOT will mill the existing roadway and resurface it. During construction DDOT will work with those concerned to maintain access to the adjacent residences and businesses.
Secondly, DDOT is slated to start construction work on E Street NW, from 23rd Street to the Potomac Expressway ramp, on or about June 25, weather permitting. Construction is expected to be completed by July 7, 2007.
