DDOT Advises Motorists of Construction on Western Avenue, NW

Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists that private construction work is scheduled to take place at Wisconsin Avenue and Western Avenue, NW, on Saturday July 28, 2007.

The work, scheduled to begin at 7 am and be completed by Noon, is being done to replace dry coolers atop 5454 Wisconsin Avenue.

Work will involve a 120-ton crane being placed on Western Avenue between Friendship Boulevard and Wisconsin Avenue, NW.

One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times during construction and access to the Friendship Heights Metro will not be affected.

DDOT reminds motorists to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
