(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises residents and motorists that roadway restoration is scheduled to begin along 13th Street, NE, from C Street, NE, to D Street, NE—well as from Constitution Avenue to North Carolina Avenue, NE.

Work is slated to begin on Monday August 6, 2007, and continue for approximately one week, weather permitting.

Construction will consist of roadway resurfacing as well as sealing existing joints and the addition of new pavement markings to the road.

Work will take place between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm Monday through Saturday.

At all times during construction at least one lane in both directions will remain open for use. Access to the adjacent homes will also be maintained throughout the duration of the project however curbside parking will not be permitted.

DDOT advises motorists to be safe and to stay alert when traveling through the work zone.
