(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be making repairs to concrete walls in the Third Street, NW, tunnel beginning Saturday, August 18, 2007.

Work hours on Saturday are from 7 am to 7 pm. One lane on the outbound side in the tunnel will be closed during this brief project. A traffic engineer will be on site to guide motorists safely through the site.

The outbound lane where work is taking place is scheduled to reopen by 5 am on Monday, August 20, 2007, weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to travel safely through the work zone.
