(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is pleased to announce the completion of Phase One work on the northbound ramp to the Whitehurst Freeway off the Potomac Parkway. The ramp opened today at 2 pm. DDOT recently closed the ramp in order to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
Due to minor weather delays, the Phase Two dates previously announced have been pushed out one week and are now scheduled for Friday, September 14 (one day) and Friday, September 28 (one day). The ramp will be closed during the day beginning at 7 am and will reopen to vehicular traffic at 3 pm, weather permitting.
The third and final closure of this phase has been rescheduled to occur from Monday, October 8 through Friday, October 12. The ramp will be closed to traffic during this final week of work.
The following detour plan will be put back in place during the additional closures. It has been established to aid travelers in getting to their destinations during ramp closures.

- Make a left to exit onto Rock Creek Parkway,
- Bear right at the yield sign on 27th street, NW
- Turn left onto K Street and/or Whitehurst Freeway
