(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin two paving restoration projects in Northeast in the coming weeks.
DDOT will begin a paving restoration project on 14th Street, NE, from G Street, NE, to Tennessee Avenue, NE, on or about September 12, 2007. Construction is scheduled to be completed in four weeks, weather permitting. Work hours are 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday.
The paving restoration of the street will include milling of old asphalt, sealing the existing joints, laying new asphalt and installing permanent line striping. In addition, DDOT will replace brick sidewalks in the area. Curbs and gutters will be replaced as needed.
During construction at least one lane of traffic will be maintained. Access to the adjacent houses will also be maintained. However, curbside parking will not be allowed on 14th Street, NE, during the construction.
The second location is 13th Street, NE, from G Street, NE, to H Street, NE, scheduled to begin on or about September 20, 2007.
