(Washington, DC) Residents and visitors be advised of the below parking restrictions and street closures for Halloween in Georgetown. Anyone visiting the area on Wednesday should use public transportation to avoid parking and traffic delays.
No-Parking restrictions were posted 72-hours in advance and will be in effect along the following routes from Midnight Tuesday, October 30, 2007, until 6 am Thursday, November 1, 2007.
- South side of K St, NW, from 30th Street to Wisconsin Avenue, NW
- Water Street, NW, from 33rd Street to the Canal Tow Path
- 1000–1300 Blocks of Wisconsin Avenue, NW
- M Street, NW, from 25th Street to the Key Bridge
- 1100 block of 26th Street, NW
Although MPD and DDOT do not expect major road closures, the following streets will be closed to thru traffic with some exceptions.
Additional streets may be closed and/or opened at the direction of the MPD Second District Commander or his designee. Drivers should present proof of employment or residency to enter streets for the following closures:
- 1000 Block of Cady's Alley, NW (Residents only)
- 1000 Block of Thomas Jefferson Street, NW
- 1000 Block of Grace Street, NW (Residents only)
- 3200 Block of Cecil Place, NW (Residents Only)
- 900 Block 30th Street, NW (Employees Only)
- 3100 Block of South Street, NW (Employees and Residents only)
- 3100 Block of Oak Alley, NW
- 3100 Block of Blues Alley (Residents and Employees only)
