DDOT to Continue Work on Whitehurst Freeway Ramp
Ramp Closures Scheduled

(Washington, D.C.) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to continue performing preventive maintenance and emergency repair work on the Potomac Freeway ramp to Whitehurst Freeway.  Ramp work began on Wednesday, January 23rd and is anticipated to be completed by Saturday, February 23rd, weather permitting.

The ramp will remain open to traffic except for on the following dates when the ramp is scheduled to be fully closed to vehicular traffic.

  • Mon Feb 4th  (6 am) Thru  Wed Feb 6th  (6 am)
  • Mon Feb 18th  (6 am) Thru  Wed Feb 20th  (6 am)

The following detour will be in place when the ramp is closed and will be signed as follows:

Detour: Motorists traveling from I-66/Potomac Freeway may take a left to exit onto Rock Creek Parkway, bear right at the yield sign on 27th Street, NW.; left onto “K” Street to Whitehurst Freeway.
