(Washington DC) As part of the ongoing road construction project on Rock Creek Parkway, the National Park Service (NPS) will close one lane southbound beginning Monday, March 17, 2008, for approximately three weeks, between P Street, NW and Pennsylvania Avenue. Traffic will remain open in both directions, however, delays should be expected.

The P Street ramps will remain open. Construction signs and variable message boards will be in place to alert the public of the expected lane closure.

Inclement weather may require adjustments to the schedule. The NPS will inform the public and the media of any adjustments in the work schedule. Every effort will be made to minimize traffic delays and accomplish the work in a timely manner.
