Road Closures for Viewing and Homegoing Services for Bishop S.C. Madison—United House of Prayer for All People

(Washington, DC) The United House of Prayer for All People will be holding viewing and homegoing services for Bishop S.C. Madison on Sunday, April 13th and Monday April 14th. United House of Prayer for All People has 1.2 million active members at over 150 locations in 24 states. Washington, DC will be the final resting place for the Bishop after a multi-state viewing over the past week. In anticipation of the many mourners attending the services, the following road closures will be in place.

  • 6th Street, NW from N to M Streets
  • M Street, NW from 6th to 7th Streets

The closures will be in effect Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm and Monday from 7am to 4 pm.

Monday’s service will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm after which the funeral procession is scheduled to proceed to Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Motorists should expect minor delays along the procession route.

Scheduled Procession Route:

  • 7th Street, NW to NY Avenue to 395N to Pennsylvania Avenue over Sousa Bridge to 34th Street and down to Suitland Parkway
