(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will reopen the far right curb lane on New York Avenue in time for Wednesday morning rush hour. DDOT engineers have been assessing the lane after damage was detected during a routine inspection. Crews were able to strengthen the roadway by installing steel plates and the lane will be reopened to vehicular traffic. Further analysis and repairs are anticipated.
