Interstate Sign Installation on 14th Street Bridge Means Lane Closures
Three Northbound Lanes Closed Starting Friday Night

Media Contact:  Karyn LeBlanc at (202) 671-3490

WASHINGTON, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be installing a new navigation sign over the 14th Street Bridge beginning Friday, August 8th at 8:30pm.  Work is anticipated to continue throughout the day Saturday with crews scheduled to finish around midnight Saturday evening.  Due to the size of the sign it will be necessary to close three northbound lanes on the 14th Street Bridge while the work is ongoing.  The sign is a new, large, interstate sign with lettering that is clearer and more defined allowing drivers to see the signs from a greater distance.

DDOT advises all motorists traveling through the work zone to proceed with caution through the lane transitions.
