The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has temporarily shut down all but one lane on southbound Kenilworth Avenue (I-295), between south of the Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue Bridge and north of Benning Road due to a water main break. Crews have arrived on site for repairs. Northbound lanes are currently open.

Traffic delays are expected and motorists are advised to avoid southbound Kenilworth Avenue until repairs are completed.
