The following streets are closed in Georgetown due to a building fire.  The fire has been extinguished but streets will remain closed until clean up activities are completed.

• M Street from Wisconsin to  30th Streets, NW (M & Wisconsin, M & 31st, M & Thomas Jefferson, M & 30th)
• K Street at Thomas Jefferson Street, NW

Traffic will be diverted and motorists are advised to take alternate routes.  Vehicles traveling over Key Bridge should exit at Whitehurst Freeway.
 
The District Department of Transportation has dispatched Road Operations Patrol teams and Traffic Control Officers to assist with traffic but delays are to be expected.
