All lanes of New York Avenue, NE have been reopened to traffic.

The water main break occurred Monday morning underneath New York Avenue, between Montana Avenue and Bladensburg Road. After the initial break was repaired, a second break occurred in another section of the same pipe. Two lanes of eastbound New York Avenue were closed to allow crews to restore water service to homes and businesses in the area.
