Columbia Road, NW, between 18th Street and Kalorama Road in Adams Morgan, is currently closed. Traffic is being diverted because of smoke emanating from utility manholes.

PEPCO, Fire and Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are on the scene. DDOT has also deployed Road Operations Patrol units and Traffic Control Officers to assist with traffic in the area.
