( The eastbound lanes of Columbia Road, NW, in Adams Morgan, have reopened to traffic, but the westbound lanes, between 18th and 19th Streets, are expected to remain closed through the evening rush hour.

Columbia Road was closed in both directions earlier this afternoon because of smoke emanating from a utility manhole.  PEPCO is now on site conducting repairs.
