The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises residents and motorists that the following streets will be closed for the Scope It Out 5K race on the morning of Sunday, March 29, 2009.

Street closures and times:

• Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 13th and 14th Streets, from 5 am to approximately noon
• Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 13th and 3rd Streets, from 8:55 am to approximately 10:45 am (Some intersections may reopen earlier)
• Constitution Avenue, NW, between 3rd and 1st Streets, from 9 am to 10:15 am
• 1st Street, between Constitution Avenue, NW and Independence Avenue, SW, from 9 am to 10 am
• Independence Avenue, SW, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, from 9 am to 10 am
• 2nd Street, SW, between D Street and Independence Avenue, from 9 am to 10 am
• 3rd Street, SW, between D Street and Independence Avenue, from 9 am to 10:30 am
• D Street, SW, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, from 9 am to 9:45 am
