(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to do road paving work in the curb lane on the eastbound side of Benning Road, NE on Thursday, April 23. The work will be conducted between 6 a.m. and 3:30 pm, and eastbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between 20th Street, NE and Oklahoma Avenue, NE. Traffic delays are anticipated and motorists are advised to plan alternate routes if possible.

The work is expected to be completed in one day. However, it requires good weather and if the work is postponed the alternate dates are April 24 and 25.

Metro Bus stops at 21st Street, 23rd Street and Oklahoma Avenue will be accessible except for the following times:

• 21st Street stop will be closed from 7 am to 8 am
• 23rd Street stop will be closed from 8 am to 9 am
• Oklahoma Avenue stop will be closed from 9 am to 10 am
