(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to begin emergency repairs tonight on the Anacostia Freeway (I-295) over South Capitol Street. The work on the southbound bridge deck and roadway will require temporary lane closures from April 27 through Thursday, April 30. Crews will work overnight, between the hours of 7 pm and 5 am.

Motorists are advised that the lane closures may cause delays on southbound I-295 and on South Capitol Street under the freeway.
