(Washington, DC) Metro has reported a major incident along the red line between Fort Totten and Takoma Park. The following roads in northeast DC are closed due to this incident. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes and detours. DDOT Road Operations Patrols and Traffic Control Officers have been deployed to assist with traffic backups.

• New Hampshire Avenue north and southbound
• North Capitol Street north and southbound
• Eastern Avenue (northwest) east and westbound
• South Dakota Avenue northbound closed
• Nicholson Street completely closed

CSX Police has advised that the CSX Trains have been shut down in both directions near the incident.
