(Washington, DC) There are a number of key intersections that are out or on flash due to power issues resulting from last night's storms. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to treat these intersections as four way stops.
The District Department of Transportation has dispatched Traffic Control Officers (TCOs) and portable stop signs. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has also dispatched officers to assist with facilitating traffic.
Traffic signals remain out at these locations:
- New York Avenue and Florida Avenue, NE
- South Dakota Avenue and Bladensburg Road, NE
- Pennsylvania Avenue and Southern Avenue, SE
In addition, the following signals are on flash (blinking yellow and red signals):
- 5th Street and Upshur Street, NW
- New Jersey Avenue and K Street, NW
- New York Avenue and Brentwood Road, NE
