DC Circulator Service to End at 8:30 pm Tonight; Service May Be Suspended Wednesday

Media Contact: John Lisle, (202) 486-5838

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the DC Circulator will end service at 8:30 pm tonight, Tuesday, February 9, due to snow accumulation and icy conditions on the roadways in the District. In addition, the Circulator may have to begin service late or suspend service completely on Wednesday depending on how much new snow accumulates. We will update this information early Wednesday morning.

If there is service tomorrow, customers should continue to expect longer waits in between buses and slower travel speeds. Also, please be extremely cautious entering and exiting buses because of snow and ice at many of the bus stops.

A detour is still in effect on the Georgetown - Union Station route: buses are not operating on Wisconsin Avenue north of M Street. Georgetown is being served westbound on lower K Street and eastbound on M Street.

Riders of the service are asked to monitor www.dccirculator.com for updates or follow DDOT on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/DDOTDC
