Expect extremely heavy traffic around and/or near the Washington Convention Center on Tuesday, June 14 from 5 pm until 11 pm. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will activate electronic message boards on main road arteries to advise motorists of congestion. L Street and M Street (between 7th and 9th Streets) MAY be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic between the hours of 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm on June 14. If road closures occur, there will be no impact to northbound or southbound traffic on 7th or 9th Streets. Service will not be interrupted at the Mount Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center Metrorail station. Expect heavy taxi usage on Mount Vernon Place.
