(Washington, DC) – In celebration of “Community Development Block Grant Week”, the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will hold a “Basically CDBG” community information session. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is designed to help develop viable communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low- and moderate-income. This training session provides insight into the process and how DHCD leverages CDBG funding to support initiatives in the District.
Residents, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners, community groups, faith-based organizations and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend. Persons who are interested in attending should RSVP at (202) 442-7251 or dhcdevents@dc.gov no later than Thursday, April 5.
