DHCD Helps Bring More Than 2,800 Affordable Housing Units to the District
DHCD had a record year in FY 2006, funding 2,882 units of affordable housing throughout the city. These projects received nearly $90 million in funding from the Department and represented a total development cost of nearly $320 million. (See full article)

Victor L. Selman Appointed Interim Director
Victor L. Selman has been appointed Interim Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development. Selman has been with DHCD for more than 10 years, serving most recently as the Department’s Chief Operations Officer. (See full article)
Grand Opening at Madeline Gardens in Ward 5
Madeline Gardens Condominiums, an affordable homeownership housing project in the Trinidad/Ivy City Neighborhood of Ward 5, held its Grand Opening this winter. DHCD assisted Manna, Inc. with both property acquisition and financing to help bring this opportunity to low-income residents of the District. (See full article).
