The District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) hereby announces funding availability for a non-profit organization: (1) to conduct a marketing campaign to increase homeownership and affordable housing opportunity among District government employees and (2) to develop a District government employee housing registry. The Department intends to make approximately $500,000 available to one non-profit organization for these activities.

DHCD will host a pre-application conference for potential RFA respondents on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10 am at DHCD, 801 North Capitol Street, NE, 9th Floor. All potential applicants are encouraged to attend the conference.
The deadline for submission of grant applications is Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 4 pm.
The anticipated award date for funding under this notice is March 1, 2008.
