DHCD Releases FY 2009 Action Plan - Releases - Housing and Community Development

(Washington, DC) - The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) today releases the Final “Fiscal Year 2009 Consolidated Annual Action Plan for the District of Columbia.” The Annual Action Plan is a statement of the strategic goals that the Department intends to undertake during Fiscal Year (FY) 2009. The plan is also DHCD’s application to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding.

The Annual Action Plan was approved by the Mayor and the Council and will be submitted to HUD no later than August 15. It specifically addresses how DHCD will use funding from the following federal entitlement programs:

Community Development Block Grant Program
HOME Investment Partnerships Program
Emergency Shelter Grant Program
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOPWA)
