(Washington, DC) - Leila Finucane Edmonds, Director, Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), and Clarence Carter, Director, Department of Human Services (DHS), announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for up to $4.0 million in rehabilitation funding under the Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF) program, the Department of Mental Health (DMH) funds administered by DHCD, and DHS funds. Additional operating funds will be available through DHS.
The District is interested in financing the rehabilitation and operation of programs for a multifamily residential project located at 4300-4304 12th Street, SE, Washington, DC 20002 that focuses on permanent supportive housing with supportive services for homeless families. This project will be for the exclusive use of DHS and DMH consumers.
The competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) will be released on Friday, September 5, 2008. The RFP package, including all application materials and the reference guidebook will be available in CD format, and can be obtained at DHCD, Development Finance Division, 801 North Capitol Street, NE, 2nd floor receptionist desk and at DHS, 64 New York Avenue, NE, 6th floor receptionist desk, Washington, DC 20002. This material will also be available on or about Friday, September 12, 2008.
