The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) announced today the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a new Housing Improvement Program initiative (HIP).
Up to $1 million of DMH funding will be administered by DHCD to finance the rehabilitation of multi-family residential buildings to preserve multi-family rental housing for low and moderate income DMH consumers.
Through a RFQ process, DHCD intends to identify a qualified lender to leverage private funds with DMH grant dollars to finance the rehabilitation of small multi-family buildings serving DMH consumers.
The closing date for application is November 7. Application packages are available for pickup beginning today at DHCD, 801 North Capitol Street, NE, 2nd floor receptionist desk, Monday through Friday from 9 am – 4:30 pm.
