(Washington, DC) DHCD announces the availability of the “District of Columbia Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for Fiscal Year 2008” (CAPER) for public review and comment. The CAPER is to present the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the public with an assessment of the District’s performance in carrying out its FY 2008 (October 1, 2007-September 30, 2008) Consolidated Annual Action Plan to use federal funds to meet priority community needs. The FY 2008 Action Plan detailed activities to be carried out by the District under the following federal entitlement programs:
- Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)
- Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
- Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG), and
- Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOPWA)
The CAPER is available for a 30 day public comment period and is available at for review at DHCD (8th floor), all public library branches, all Advisory Neighborhood Commission Offices and the following community based organizations until December 17, 2008.
