(Washington, D.C.) - The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is beginning the development process for its Five-Year Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Years 2011-2015.
The Five-Year Consolidated Plan identifies policies and strategies to address the housing and community development needs of low to moderate income residents using the following federal entitlement grants - Community Development Block Grant (C DBG); HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME); Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG); and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOPWA).
As part of the development process, DHCD has created a public survey to help determine budget and program priorities for the upcoming five-year period. The survey is available until August 31, 2009.
DHCD will also hold a series of hearings for public comments on the plan later this year.
To obtain a paper copy of the survey, please contact Ms. Najuma Thorpe at (202) 442-7253 or najuma.thorpe@dc.gov.
