DHCD Holds Mandatory Fair Housing Training – Open to Sub-Recipients Only

(Washington, DC) - The Department of Housing and Community Development is holding its 3rd Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, Section 504/Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), and Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan (AFHMP) training session on Tuesday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 26.  This session is only open to DHCD’s sub-recipients and is mandatory for all DHCD Development Finance and Neighborhood-Based Activities sub-recipients.  The training will be held in DHCD’s 9th Floor Board Room at 801 North Capitol Street, NE.

National experts in the fields of Fair Housing, Section 504/UFAS, and architectural regulations will provide extensive training.  Invited speakers include staff from both the Program Standards and Compliance Division and the Office of General Counsel in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Fair Housing.

Again, this training is mandatory for all of DHCD funding sub-recipients.  Sub-recipients of community development funding for rehabilitation and construction are required to attend both days; however, sub-recipients of Neighborhood Based Activities funding need only come on the first day.

Additional information and the registration form are below.  All registrations must be FAXED to (202) 535-1392.
