(Washington, DC) The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announces several events that will educate and inform District residents.
ANC Training Seminar
DHCD will hold an ANC Training Seminar on Tuesday, September 19 from 6:30-8:30 pm. At this event, ANCs will learn valuable information on DHCD’s programs, services, funding sources, and eligibility requirements. The ANCs can then use this information to educate their constituents.
The event will be held at DHCD’s headquarters, located at 801 North Capitol Street, NE, in the 9th floor board room. Persons who are interested in attending should RSVP at 442-7250 or dhcdevents@dc.gov.
Housing Production Trust Fund Board Meeting
DHCD, in accordance with §42-2802.01 of the DC Official Code, the Housing Production Trust Fund Act of 1988, D.C. Law 7-202, announces that the Housing Production Trust Fund Board will meet on Thursday, September 21 at 9:30 am.

Homeownership Fair
Join DHCD, Union Temple Baptist Church, and the Greater Washington Urban League for a Homeownership Fair in East Washington on Saturday, September 23 from 10 am–2 pm. This event will help ensure that District residents have access to – and may take advantage of – various homeownership opportunities available in the District. Homeownership training sessions will be offered for attendees. Various government and community-based organizations will also be at the fair to provide valuable information on the District’s programs.

Fair Housing Training Session – Mandatory for sub-recipients
DHCD is holding its 3rd Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, Section 504/Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), and Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan (AFHMP) training session on Tuesday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 26. This session is only open to DHCD’s sub-recipients and is mandatory for all DHCD Development Finance and Neighborhood-Based Activities sub-recipients. The training will be held in DHCD’s 9th Floor Board Room at 801 North Capitol Street, NE.
