Following the success of the monthly First-Wednesday’s Money-Saving Seminars, the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) has joined the Business Division of the DC Public Library in hosting monthly financial-education seminars and workshops for the rest of 2007. The seminars are designed to help individuals and families reduce debt, save money and build wealth. The goal is to create innovative strategies to motivate Washingtonians to develop better financial habits.
All seminars are held every last Thursday of the month and are free and open to the public. During the presentations, DISB will introduce attendees to DC Saves, a local offshoot of the America Saves campaign, which promotes saving over spending.
