The District of Columbia Insurance & Securities Fraud Bureau will hold a conference for insurance fraud investigators and insurance claim professionals on October 30, 2002. The conference will be held at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Conference Center located at 101 Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC. This conference is designed for local SIU (special investigative unit) personnel to be an informative presentation on the current activities and recent reorganization of the District of Columbia Department of Insurance & Securities Regulation (DISR) Insurance and Securities Fraud Bureau. Participants will hear about thresholds and formats, immunity issues, and learn about current protocols used to report fraud for criminal proceedings.
