Captive Insurance in the Capital

CIC-DC Hosts Sixth Annual Conference

The Captive Insurance Council of the District of Columbia Inc. (CIC-DC) presents the 2007 Annual Conference, October 2-3, 2007, at the Marriott Metro Center, 775 12th Street, NW, in Washington, DC. Attendees can join captive insurance owners, risk managers, attorneys, association executives, Risk Retention Group specialists and others in an educational and networking experience featuring 18 seasoned captive insurance industry veterans for discussions on a wide range of current captive insurance issues.

Attendees will get reports from DISB Commissioner Thomas E. Hampton, as well as meet captive staff in DISB’s Risk Finance Bureau. They will participate in quality captive educational programs and learn about current information about the DC captive domicile.

CIC-DC was founded in November 2001, and represents the corporate and association community interested in operating captive insurance companies in the District of Columbia, one of America's newest domiciles for captives. CIC-DC was formed to advance the District of Columbia’s presence in the captive marketplace, especially as it relates to professional and industry trade associations by educating the public about the role of captives through educational programs and conferences. CIC-DC provides a forum to review legislation, regulations and other government action, which affects the interests of its members. For more information, visit CIC-DC’s website.
