(Washington, DC) District residents interested in the electrical trade are urged to attend one of two upcoming Apprenticeship Electrical Trade Recruitment Fairs sponsored by the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) Office of Apprenticeship Information & Training and M.C. Dean. The two recruitment fairs will be held at the department’s One-Stop Career Centers on March 16 and 30, 2007, from 10 am to 1 pm.
All applicants are required to pre-register at a DOES One Stop Career Center prior to the job fairs in order to secure an appointment time. Walk-in applicants will only be seen after pre-registered applicants are interviewed.
To be eligible for this Electrical Trade apprentice program, applicants must be District residents, 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or GED certificate. Applicants must also be drug free, proficient in algebra, can successfully pass a security clearance, and physically capable of performing the duties of the job.
