(Washington, DC) The Department of Employment Services will host the 63rd Annual Eastern Seaboard Apprenticeship Conference at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel, located at 2500 Calvert Street, NW. The conference will begin on Sunday, June 24 and end on Friday, June 29, 2007. More than 400 businesses, trade unions, industry representatives, and government officials are expected to attend.
The 2007 conference, which bears the theme, “Capitol Steps, Capital Gains,” will bring the latest in policies, technologies, programs, and resources to seminars, plenary sessions, and workshops planned throughout the 5-day event. Additionally, there will be networking receptions, local tours, and banquets designed exclusively for conference attendees. Opportunities are available for companies to increase their visibility to construction trade professionals through sponsorships and exhibits. ESAC is a non-profit organization created to provide an annual vehicle to stage appropriate and critical workshops of interest to representatives of federal and state governments, unions, employers, employees, and educational institutions. The annual conference focuses on the current significant and impacting legal, programmatic, and educational topics affecting apprenticeship programs globally. ESAC 2007 marks the conference’s return to Washington, DC after two decades.
