District Celebrates Opening of New One-Stop Career and Information Center in Ward 4

(Washington, DC)  The Department of Employment Services (DOES), in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), will officially launch the opening of the Emery One-Stop Career and Information Center on April 9, 2008 at the Emery Recreation Center in Ward 4.  The center, which will be jointly operated by DOES and DPR, will provide local residents with much needed information on employment-related services, including training and access to job opportunities in the District and the region. Information on apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and on-the-job training programs will also be offered, as well as upcoming workshops and job fairs within the DC area.
