Help Wanted! The District Hosts Several Recruitment Fairs in February

 

(Washington, DC) A series of job fairs will be held throughout the month of February for several area employers, making this one of the busiest recruitment months for the Department of Employment Services (DOES).

The District will partner with local companies such as Giant Foods, Inc.; Guest Services, Inc.; Courtyard Marriott and ARAMARK. The dates, times and locations of the job fairs are as listed:

Companies will be recruiting for a variety of positions, including Assistant Managers, Office Administrators, Chefs, Sales Representatives, Hosts, Sports Instructors, Warehouse and Concession Supervisors, and Security Officers.  Attendees to the job fair are advised to bring resumes and two forms of identification and to be appropriately dressed for on-site interviews.

 

“This month truly captures the mission and spirit of this agency,” says Gregg Irish, Director for the Department of Employment Services. “These recruitment fairs are strong evidence that we are working in partnership with local companies to maintain a healthy economic climate in the District of Columbia.”

The Department operates several One-Stop Career Centers that are strategically located throughout the District of Columbia to assist residents and local businesses with their employment needs.  Employment and labor market related information can also be accessed through the District’s Virtual One-Stop (VOS) system at dcnetworks.
