City and Trade Unions Host Joint Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair for District Residents

(Washington, DC)  Eighteen trade unions will recruit for new apprentices at the first joint recruitment fair for District residents.  The Union Trades Apprenticeship and Employment Recruitment Fair is co-sponsored by the Department of Employment Services and the Community Services Agency of the Metropolitan Washington Council AFL-CIO, on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at the Washington Convention Center, Hall E, from 10 am to 6 pm.

 

The unions will also be recruiting District residents with existing skills in the building trades as advanced apprentices and journey workers.  Proof of District residency will be required.
