(Washington, DC)  District residents interested in pursuing careers in retail sales will have an opportunity to meet hiring managers from various local stores at the Department of Employment Services’ (DOES) Retail Job Fair Extravaganza.  The event will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel, 999 9th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

More than 40 local retail businesses will be recruiting applicants for employment.  Among the participating retailers are H&M Department Store, United Colors of Benetton, Urban Outfitters, Pier One, the Spy Museum, and Giant Food Stores.  “This job fair is targeting those in our community with a serious interest in sales and marketing,” says DOES Director Gregg Irish.  “We realize that Retail Sales is a thriving industry and we encourage District residents to come out and see the benefits of a career in this field.”
