(Washington, DC) Young adults will explore a host of career options and inquire about locally available job openings on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at the Southeastern University (SEU) Career Fair, located at 501 I Street, SW from 3 pm to 7 pm.
For the second year, DC Link and Learn’s (DCLL) Youth Opportunity Program and Southeastern University will partner to host a stimulating career fair to enable students to examine careers and explore future occupational or academic options.
The career fair is free and open to the public. Through activities such as career fairs, individuals gain insight on continuing education, vocational training, and other career development activities that will help them prepare for college and future jobs in a variety of fields and professions.
Southeastern University will also showcase and promote their academic and vocational programs during the fair. As a special bonus to participants who complete SEU’s enrollment application on the day of the fair, SEU will waive the $50.00 application fee.
A host of government and private organizations will participate in the career fair, including: DC Department of Employment Services, US Secret Service, Internal Revenue Service, Comcast, Home Depot, and Radio Shack.
There is no charge for companies to participate in the career fair. Free lunch will also be provided for representatives of companies who participate in the fair.
