On Monday, June 23, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to kick off “DC Summer Fun 2008” at the Langdon Park Recreation Center, 2901 20th Street, NE.
The Mayor is scheduled to host a press conference at 3 pm to announce the DC Summer Fun initiative that offers an array of services for District youth that include employment, Free Summer Meals, recreation, education and safety. The event will be targeted to two groups of District youth: from 1 pm – 5 pm, children and youth ages 5 -12; from 5 pm – 9 pm, teenagers and young adults ages 13 – 21.
