The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has extended the closing date at the Georgetown (Volta Park) outdoor pool, 3400 Volta Pl., NW, to September 1, 2008.    The pool will be open only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Labor Day.  Dates and hours of operation are:

• Friday August 22: 1 pm - 8 pm
• Saturday, August 23 - Sunday, August 24: 12 pm - 6 pm
• Friday, August 29: 1 pm - 8 pm
• Saturday, August 30 - Sunday, August 31: 12 pm - 6 pm
• Monday, September 1: 12 pm - 6 pm
